Completed during my internship with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, this series of illustrations was created for the Pets at Our Place 2026 Calendar. This calendar celebrates Victoria’s public and community housing renters and their pets, highlighting the psychological, physical and social benefits of pet ownership.

The calendar features 12 Victorian households and their pets, each featuring a photographed portrait and accompanying illustration. The playful illustrations reveal the charm and character of each pet, emphasising the joy and companionship pets bring to their owners. The front cover illustration unites the featured pets with an open door setting, warmly inviting viewers into the homes of the owners and their pets. Postcards of each illustration were also produced and gifted to the pet owners.

All illustrations were developed with the existing DFFH colour palette, working in close collaboration with the project team to ensure a cohesive and engaging visual identity.
